Technical Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or foreign equivalent
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial or automotive mechanical design
- Capable of evaluating new product customer requirements to initiate and model advanced designs using Unigraphics, Catia or ProEngineering software
- Experienced in developing designs of components, assemblies, and tooling using proper CAD modeling techniques
- Able to work under tight time constraints to meet schedules and manufacturing deadlines
- Detail-oriented and highly motivated with good diagnostic and problem solving skills
- Flexible with ability to work with minimal supervision
- Analysis capabilities (both hand and computer)
- Good communication and documentation skills in the English language
- Must be a self-starter
Desirable Characteristics:
- A proven track record of innovative mechanical designs
- Industrial or automotive development experience
- Hands-on experience (mechanical testing, product qualification testing, manufacturing)
- Patents awarded
- Proficient computer skills - CAD, FEA, Excel, PowerPoint, Word
